Reception - Man on the Moon!

Date: 15th Feb 2019 @ 2:14pm

Good Afternoon,

This week we have been looking at the story 'Man on the Moon - a day in the life of Bob'. We've been following the story and Bob's adventure to the moon each day. We've learnt about the moon and what it is like, as well as what Bob has to wear when he goes up into space. We completed some writing, making a list of the things Bob needs to take to the moon using all of our phonics skills. Some children also created their own astronaut figures this week in their learning time, just like Bob!

During our maths sessions we have been representing numbers to 10 and beyond this week, not just using Numicon but using anything in our classroom from scissors to books to space rocks and much more. This has given the children an understanding how quantities of number can look in different representations, not just with Numicon.

Have a great week off everyone and see you all on Monday 25th.

Miss Steen
