Team 1 - Fish from under the sea, nativity singing and onesies!!

Date: 14th Nov 2015 @ 2:16pm

Good Afternoon,

Another very busy and exciting week for all the children in Team 1!

In English we have been doing lots of letter and story writing as we finished our unit on 'The Three Little Pigs' and start our brand new unit. To introduce the unit to the children there was a very smelly delivery made to Team 1. After much exploration of the parcel using all of our different senses, it was revealed that lots of different fish from under the sea had been delivered for children to have a look at and how these link to our new text 'The Rainbow Fish'. We all can't wait to get started on Monday!!

In maths we continued recognising all different types of coins and notes and explored how many pennies and pounds are in each coin and note. We also set up 'Team 1's Super Shop' where children practiced buying items and finding the total.

In the afternoon we have been working hard on our handwriting, started to learn the songs for our Christmas Nativity and also started our new Science topic all about the changes in seasons.

On Friday we also had our 'Onesie day' for Children in Need and World Diabetes Day. Everyone looked fantasic and we all had a fabulous day raising lots of money.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Steensmiley
