Team 3: 10.1.20

Date: 10th Jan 2020 @ 2:26pm

We are all very excited to be back in school this week and what a week it has been! We have been visited by Dee Radio and Chester the Cat this week and we can't wait to be school of the week on Dee 106 next week!

In English, we have been consolidating our skills from last half-term, focusing on conjunctions, adverbs of time and how to use inverted commas. Today we have planned our own stories based on Winter's Child by Angela McAllister. In Maths we have been working on our 3,4 and 8 times tables and looking at links between timestables that we can use to help us.

In PE we completed our final lesson of gymnastics, putting all our skills together to create, perform and evaluate routines with a partner on apparatus- we definitely have some talent in Team 3!

Our new topic for this term is 'What's below the surface?' and we've launched into it this week with a look at how we know so much about life so long ago. We looked at special photographs of under the ground and looked at replica objects of archaeological discoveries to learn how archaeoligists use clues from under the ground to discover about the past. We are now VERY excited for our 'Early Man' workshop on our trip to Norton Priory next Wednesday.

We've also spent lots of time this week talking about different character strengths and trying to identify them in ourselves and our friends.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Delaney
