Team 3: 21.9.18

Date: 21st Sep 2018 @ 7:00pm

We are very proud in Team 3 this week-on Wednesday, after learning about how to survive life in the Stone Age, we wrote diary entries as if we were Stone Age children and the results were fantastic! Everyone was very keen to share their writing! Here are a few examples...

'Suddenly, in the distance my mum and dad spotted a woolly mammoth. Today could maybe be the day I learn to kill big animals'

'As I walked to the entry of the cave, there was a mighty beast. It was a fierce, deadly and furry mammoth.'

'We grabbed our spears, knifes and needles and quickly went into battle.'

In Maths, we have been continuing our work on place value, looking at how to represent 100s, 10s and 1s in place value grids using palce value counters, digitis and dienes blocks. We have also been working hard on our morning maths challenges and are getting quicker and quicker each day. In Science this week we learned about the processes of rock formation and how igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks are made by the Earth then chose one of these processes to act out in groups for our classmates to guess.
