Team 3: 23.11.18

Date: 23rd Nov 2018 @ 4:53pm

Hello! It's been another busy week!

In English, we are continuing our work in 'Winter's Child' while focussing on adverbs of time and subordinating conjunctions such as while, because, when and until. We have started learning about the Christmas story in R.E. and it's importance to Christians. After ordering images from the story andmatching them with bible verses, we retold the story as a diary entry from Mary's point of view, applying our English learning.

In Maths, we have been adding 10s and 100s to 3-digit numbers using our place value grid and have started to subtract 1-digit numbers from 3-digitn numbers in our heads and using number lines.

Just a quick note about Christmas productions as rehearsals are well under way! This week, letters went home to explain the arrangements for performances- there will be a performance at 6:30pm on 4th December and at 1:30pm and 6:30pm on 5th December. Children should arrive back at school for 6:00pm for the evening performances. Children have been asked to wear a black top and black trousers. In Team 3, if your child is an innkeeper, market trader or citizen, they have also been asked to bring in a belt, tie or scarf to tie around their waist and school will provide tunics. Innkeepers have also been asked to bring in a headress- this could be a tea towel or piece of fabric with a rope, tie or scarf to attach it. If your child will be a roman, there are no additional items needed.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Delaney
