Team 3: 28.9.18

Date: 28th Sep 2018 @ 7:02pm

Well it was another exciting week in Team 3 and across the school as this week was French week! We have had French teaching every day, including learning rhymes, listening to songs and even having a French breakfast on Thursday! We have also been researching France and French speaking countries. On Wednesday, we used our internet searching skills to research Madagascar. Our favourite fact was that the ring tailed lemur is their national animal! European day of Languages on Wednessday was a brilliant day when Team 3 took part in a languages carousel of activities in which they had a taster session of Spanish, Mandarin and British Sign Language as well as conducting research about other countries.

In English, we made paper aeroplanes just like Humpty in our story and wrote some great instructions, applying our adverbs and Team 2 spelling rules. The end of the story was finally revealed and we saw Humpty transform into a bird after conquering his fear of heights. Next week, we will be retelling the story from the point of view of one of the birds he so longed to fly with at the beginning of the book.

In Maths we have been continuing our work on place value of three digit numbers and started to work on putting these on number lines, which we will continue next week.

Hope to see as many of you as possible at the 50th birthday celebrations tomorrow!
