Team 3: 5.10.18

Date: 5th Oct 2018 @ 6:42pm

This week in Team 3 we have been very busy writers! On Monday and Tuesday, we retold the story of Humpty Dumpty after the fall. We worked very hard to edit our work to make sure we had used the past tense and spelled all our Team 2 spellings correctly. We were all very proud! We then started to look at our new book, which we will be working on over the next few weeks called 'Seal surfer' by Michael Foreman and came up with some brilliant predictions about what the story might entail.

In Maths, it has been a tricky week working on number lines to 1000 but we are very proud of our determination and resilience. We can now work out whether the number line is counting in 10s, 20s, 50s or 100s and find numbers on these number lines.

We also got very engrossed in a documentary about the Stone Age site of Skara Brae, so much so we've even been watching it during snacktimes! The site was first discoverd in 1850 by a farmer after a storm. Then, after a second storm in 1925,  an archaeological dig began. We learned all about how archaeolgists use evidence to work out what life used to be like and looked at pictures and videos of Skara Brae before writing newspaper reports as if we were in 1925.

Thank you for another great week and I'm looking forward to the next!

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Delaney
