Team 3 wb 21.6.21

Date: 27th Jun 2021 @ 9:10am

It has been a busy week in Team 3!

In our English learning, we have been recapping some previously taught skills such as using apostrophes for contraction and also to show singular possession. We have recapped these skills and applied them in some short burst writing tasks. In our spelling learning, we have been learning about the spelling of -ture (pronounced ch-er).  We looked at the spelling rules for words that contain this sound and practised using them in a range of different contexts. If you would like to support your child with this, you can practise the following words at home:

Adventure

Fracture

Puncture

Gesture

Texture

Nature

In our math’s learning, we have continued developing our understanding of fractions learning about equivalent fractions and beginning to compare fractions to identify which is the greatest or smallest.

In our afternoon learning, we have continued learning about the terracotta army and continued learning how to use a range of tools in order to model and sculpt our very own clay models. We also completed our KS2 Sport’s Day in PE. We were very sad that parents could not join us this year however the children still had lots of fun and completed well in every event!

What a busy week!

Have a great weekend Team 3.
