Wow, what a busy week it has been!

The week kicked off with Languages Day. The children visited various classrooms and in each, learnt about a different language. The languages included: Spanish, Welsh, French and Romanian. Hopefully the children shared aspects of their day with you and were enthusiastic about their learning.

On Thursday the school went a bit crazy with Rock! We welcomed RockKidz into school and enjoyed a workshop in the morning, followed by a whole school celebration in the afternoon. The children (and adults) had lots of fun singing, dancing and 'rockin out'. We were all pooped by the end! The message for the day was YASBA - 'You're Awesome So Be Awesome'. It celebrated being unique and how you should be true to yourself. Thank you for your support with the outfits - the children looked amazing.

We have been busy collecting food for the local foodbank. The food collected will be displayed in our harvesy assembly on Monday and then sent to the foodbank afterwards. We are still accepting donations and anything is appreciated.

We have continued to practise times tables, counting forwards and backwards in steps of 1, 10, 100, 4 and 8. Any support with this at home would be appreciated. In English, we have been consolidating our knowledge of noun phrases and how to demarcate a sentence correctly. We have just finished our class novel (The HodgeHeg) and are ready to start a new book next week. Please continue to read at home with your child and write in their reading diary.

Have a wonderful weekend.
