We have been very busy this week writing our final pieces for our unit on 'Stone Age Boy'. It has been a wonderful opportunity to show off all our skills from this year and our beautiful handwriting. We have really enjoyed our reading lesson theme this week too which has been the topic of the Stone Age.

In maths, we continue to learn all about fractions and making a whole using fractions. We have looked at halves, quarters, thirds and tenths in particular. It's been a little tricky but we're getting there with our brilliant resilience and hard work!

We had lots of fun on the glockenspiels again this week, learning how to play in time with the beat and creating our own short pieces to practise playing in time. In history, we have begun to learn about ancient civilsations and what made a civilisation. We learned how important rivers were to building a civilisation and looked at a variety of artefacts from the Indus Valley. We had to be history detectives to think what the artefacts could have been made from and what they told us about everyday life of the people living in the Indus Valley thousands of years ago.

We keep checking in on our plants- both on the windowsill and in the cupboard. We are excited to see which ones grow!

Have a great bank holiday weekend everyone!
