Team 3:21.6.19

Date: 23rd Jun 2019 @ 4:11pm

We have had a lovely week in Team 3! On Thursday we visited the Anderton Boat Lift and learned all about the water cycle and the journey of a river- it was very intersting! We also had a great boat trip down the River Weaver in a special boat with glass sides and roof. Although some people were a little worried at the start, we showed great courage and confidence and really enjoyed it!

In English, we have finished reading 'Journey' by Aaron Becker and begun to look at writing descriptions in the style of author Berlie Doherty to draw the reader in with repeptition and interesting language choices.

In maths, we have been working hard on directions and turns as well as recognising the number of right angles in turns and identifying them in shapes.

On Wednesday, we had our first afternoon of road safety lessons ready for our walks on Monday 1st July where we will put our learning into action in small groups. Please remember to bring forms in :)

We also had a great day on Friday with our visiting author and showed great confidence performing our poems to the class in preparation for the whole school poetry recital next week! Keep up the great work Team 3!

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Delaney
