What another busy week in Team 4!

In our English learning this week, we have been learning how to use a range of adverbs to bring our writing alive for our reader. Alongside this, we have also been learning how to sentences and merge multiple clauses using a range of conjunctions.
In our spelling learning this week, we have been learning how to use the suffix -im. We learnt how this suffix changes the root words meaning and also rules to identify when this suffix needs to be added to a root word. If you would like to support this learning at home, you can practise the following words with your child:
impossible
impolite
impatient
imperfect
immortal
immature

In our maths work this week, we have been   learning how to round two and three-digit numbers to the nearest ten or hundred. We learnt rules to help us identify what they should be rounded to and used a variety of practical equipment, fluency questions and word problems to apply this learning concept.

In our afternoon learning, we went swimming on Thursday in PE, we continued developing our drawing skills with Mrs Carroe in art and also learnt about the equator, the tropic of cancer and also the tropic of capricorn in geography.

What a busy week Team 4! Have a great weekend

Mr Lawrie
