Team 4 Wb 9.11.20

Date: 13th Nov 2020 @ 4:16pm

This blog is a little different because Team 4 have been in isolation! However, that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy and it certainly hasn’t stopped us learning!

In English, we used the stimulus of a picture from the class text to work on some super descriptive writing. We built up the ideas in small steps over the week and Miss Foster and I were delighted to read some of the paragraphs that were created in the end.  To further support the learning around our English text, the children also completed some research about gorillas. Please hold onto this if you can as this will be really useful when we are all back together again.

In maths, we have seen some fantastic work to recap our learning about place value. At the end of the week we asked children to create a game to help them practise their times tables. Well, what an inventive lot we are! There were some great ideas for the games and I think we all agree that learning is so much easier when you are having fun.

In addition to the above, we have also asked the children to complete science and topic projects. The photographs that we have seen have kept the teachers smiling as it is so exciting to see how the children have explored and presented their learning.

We finished the week with a jolly Zoom meeting where we heard some of your news about the week, met some of your pets (!) and enjoyed a scavenger challenge. It was great to check in with those of you who could make it.

Take care everybody and have a good weekend.
