Team 5: Last week before half term!

Date: 25th Oct 2015 @ 10:54am

During English this week we have been writing up our own non-chronological reports on an Anglo-Saxon village. I was very impressed with the effort from all of the children, and it seems like the Talk for Writing approach (learning the action map, innovating and then inventing) is really helping them to progress.

Mathematics this week involved solidfying our understanding of multiplying and dividing by multiples of ten, followed by a maths challenge at the end of the week to consolidate the learning that has occurred throughout the half term.

Within Science, we looked at the reproduction of plants. This involved dissecting lillies and identifying the different parts, something which the children were particularly inquistive about and thoroughly enjoyed.

Now we have reached half term, I hope that you all have a relaxing week and enjoy yourselves!

See you in one week's time!
