Team 5: The last week before Christmas!

Date: 19th Dec 2015 @ 4:46pm

During our final week in Team 5, we worked hard to finish our Christmas books and Christmas cards. The Christmas books in particular look absolutely wonderful, and certainly do justice to all of the dedication and effort. Although we had a few children off school with illness, I am pleased to say that every single child in Team 5 managed to complete their book! It is something which they can treasure forever.

To maintain structure, this week I carried out mathematics lessons as normal. We focused upon 3D shapes, and moved onto calculating the area and perimeter of rectangles. Some of the problem solving activities were very tricky on Friday, however in pairs the children rose to the challenge and all had a good go.

We also had the excitement of pass the parcel in the hall with the rest of the school. Our forfeits were given to us by Team 6, and we had a great laugh carrying them out! Additionally we had a pantomime of Aladdin to watch on Friday afternoon which the children seemed to enjoy.

Have an amazing Christmas break, and I look forward to working alongside you all again in 2016!
