Team3: 24.5.19

Date: 24th May 2019 @ 4:03pm

Every week in Team 3 we celebrate our hard work but this week has been exceptional. I could not be more proud of the way every single member of our team has worked so hard to make Miss Crank’s day so special. Our singing was beautiful and everyone tried their absolute best- what a team!

This week we have also written our final piece of writing based on ‘The Snow Dragon’ by Vivian French. We created our very own dragons with many mystical powers and wrote a non-chronological report using headings and subheadings. We made sure to use a rich and interesting vocabulary and vary our sentence types and starters.

In maths, we have continued our work on fractions by finding unit and non-unit fractions of larger numbers up to 100. We have focused on using diagrams to help us with our working out.

In science, we revisited our plants that we put in different conditions two weeks ago. We learned that water and light were very important for plants to grow well but that the plant would still survive even if it does not have a lot of warmth. We also learned about the adaptations of plants to help them grow well, discovering how plants are very different in rainforest and desert environments due to the different climates.
