Reception - 2.7.18

This week in Reception we have really enjoyed observing the caterpillars in our classroom. Lots of children have looked very carefully, drawn images and written about what the caterpillars are like and how they have changed over the week. We are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly and the children are very interested in learning more!

In Literacy this week we have been finishing our HOT tasks. They are looking fantastic and we are very proud of all of the children.

We have been playing lots of games in maths to do with shapes. The children blew us away when we asked them to describe the shape, coming up with lots of different ideas and ways to describe them. We have also looked at repeating patterns. We used giant sheets of paper to create repeating patterns and shared them with the rest of the class.
