Reception - I'm going to eat this ant!

Hi everyone,

This we week started a brand new story book called 'I'm going to eat this ant!'. We began with a bug hunt around the woodlands to see if we could find any ants or other bugs. Some children used magnifiy glasses to look closely at what they found, while others drew what they could see using paper on clipboards. We began to look at the cover of the book and the anteater who was on it! We all made some guesses of what we think might happen when we begin to read the story next week!!

This week we have also been looking at 'Diwali', the festival of light! We discussed what 'Diwali' is, tasted some indian snacks and created our own rangoli patterns.
