Reception - It's the first week back!

It has been a very busy and exciting first week back. We have had an amazing sports day and we were so proud of all of the children's achievements. It was lovely to hear the children congratulating each other on their success. Well done!

We have been focusing on poetry this week. We have read some funny poems and the children have enjoyed them. We used the claves and other instruments to focus on the rhythm of the poem and we performed this to the class in groups. The children were amazing!

In maths this week, we have focused on shape, talking about their properties and their names. We have had a shape hunt and played fun games to recap our learning of shape. We have also been learning about the weight of items and have used the scales to compare them.
