Reception - Living like Celts
Date: 17th Nov 2017 @ 3:31pm
This week has been a busy one! Reception absolutely loved our Celtic themed 2 days where we got to make bread like Celts, dug like archeologists, created some celtic art, built parts of houses using wattle and daub and experienced what sort of things people from this time might have worn. We celebrated all our learning over these few days with a special assembly.
In class we also had a visit from Penguin Small this week. He left a bit of a mess, a letter and a video for us to explore and find out about his adventure. We have been learning about Penguin Small's journey and retelling his story off by heart using actions and a story map. The classroom has been themed around 'cold environments' and this week's enhancements have gone down really well, especially the Arctic small world.
Have a well deserved rest after an especially busy week and we will see you on Monday.
