Reception - Our first days at school

Hello Everybody,

What a very busy and exciting first few days we have had at school! All children have been in school for a day and a half this week and have been getting to know their new teachers very well. Miss Steen has been so proud of how well everybody has settled in and how ready they all are for big school!!

This week we have been getting to know our new classroom, the different learning areas and what we can do in each area. We have been learning to tidy up our learning and help our friends to tidy too.

We also met 'Horis' who is a very friendly little monkey who keeps up company in our new classroom. He wants us to be safe at school and very kind to each other, so we drew some picture of how we could do that!

The most exciting time this week however, was when we met our new buddies from Year 6, who came for lunch with us in the dinner hall. We got to know them very well and they also came to play with us in our classroom. Our new buddies are going to look after us and will be there if we need to ask anything!
