Reception - WB 15.3.21

Good Afternoon,

This week in Reception we have been exploring the season Spring. We've been learning about the different features of this season and completed a Spring walk to see if we could spot any signs of Spring. The children have really enjoyed learning about Spring this week and our enhancements in the classroom linked to this have been very popular, especially the painting the daffodils challenge.

During Literacy we have started a new class text called 'The Journey Home'. Children have met the main character from the story called Hattie Peck who loves eggs and we have been finding out all about different animals that hatch from eggs. We have even made our own hatching eggs too!!

We have also enjoyed our first gymnastics lesson in P.E this week. We started with learning how to perform simple rolls on the mats. So many children could do forward roll so confidently!!
