Reception - WB 19.10.20

Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all ok!

We started our Monday in school as normal, continuing with our class text 'The Gingerbread Man' and exploring our new challenges for the week. These were Halloween themed this week, as it is Halloween during the holidays. Some of the challenges included scooping and carving pumpkins, making patterns on pumpkins using pins and loom bands and writing words from pictures out of our spooky cauldron! 

Unfortunately by Monday lunchtime we had a confirmed case in Reception, so we had to go home and continue our learning there. But WOW!! Everyone has been working so hard at home with their grown-ups. I've loved seeing all the photos that I've been sent each day of all the lovely things you have been up to. I have been very impressed!

We finished our week at home with a 'Halloween Story time' on Zoom. All the children came in their favourite Halloween costume and Miss Steen read a Halloween story called 'A Magical Muddle'. 

Have a lovely half term break everyone and see you back in school on Tuesday 3rd November.
