Reception - WB 24.2.20

This week we have had a woodlands learning focus in Reception. Lots of the challenges out in the classroom have been outdoors themed and linked to the skills your children are currently developing. 

In Literacy we have looked at two stories this week, 'Flashlight' and 'Owl Babies'. We've explored what types of living things we might find out in the woodlands. We created our own owl art, as well as some owl poetry which you can see on display in our classroom.

During maths we have been looking at the term number bonds and how we can find different ways of making numbers to 5. We've focused on using the numicon to do this!

I would just like to say a big thank you also, to all those who attended our catch up and cake session in school on Thursday. It was lovely to see so many of you there!
