Reception - WB 3.11.20

Good Afternoon,

We have had a lovely first week back after our two weeks at home! I hope you are all keeping safe and well and managed to keep busy over the self-isolation period!

This week in Literacy, we have finished our story 'The Gingerbread Man'. We found out what happened to him and created our own versions of the story using our developing writing skills. We also ended the week with a competition that we were asked to enter by Mr and Mrs Baker from the story. Children had to design their own cake to go in their bakery and we had lots of entries. Mr and Mrs Baker picked 3 winner who were very pleased with their prizes!!

This week it was Bonfire Night, so we learnt lots about Guy Fawkes and the story of Bonfire Night. In the classroom we completed different firework themed arts and crafts and lots of challenges around the classroom linked to bonfire night. We also made out own chocolate apples with sprinkes on during Mousemania on Friday.
