Reception - WB 9.3.20

Good Afternoon,

This week in school we have continued to read our new text 'The Journey Home'. We have been looking closely at the main character Hattie Peck and what type of characters she is. We talked about how we can use different words to describe her and use these words to build and write some sentences. We used all of our writing skills to do this.

We've had a brand new role play area in our classroom this week, based around the topic 'Airports'. Lots of children have enjoyed packing the suitcase and flying the plane to different places. To support our role play skills and develop them further, we have been learning about airports and planes as part of our themed learning so the children know what it is like to be on a plane.

In light of current affairs, we have also been reinforcing the importance of hygiene this week and how to wash our hands properly.
