Reception - World Book Day!

Hi,

On Thursday this week we celebrated 'World Book Day'. Everyone came to school dressed up as their favourite book character and we had a special costume parade in the hall. We got to see everyones costumes and spot if anyone had the same costume as us! Throughout the day we completed lots of activities based around books. We moved around the different classes in our bay in the morning learning about 'Superheroes', reading and designing our own 'Biscuit Bear' for the competition and created our own bookmarks for our reading books. We also took part in a whole school reading session, choosing and listeing to a story of our choice!

We read some of our favourite stories all day including 'We're going on a Bear Hunt', 'The Gruffalo, 'Lost and Found' and many more. Some children read these stories again when we created some reading dens in our classroom!
