Hi all,

We have continued to explore the story 'The Gingerbread Man', this week. We've made predictions about the story and used our mark making skills to create our own story roadmaps. The children have been applying these mark making skills during Learning Time and were confidently retelling their versions to others using their story road map. We've also played lots of phonics games linked to the story.

During RSR, we have learnt another 5 sounds this week and have been really focusing on developing our blending skills. We've been practicing creating simple 3 letter words on our magnetic boards and reading them out aloud with support.

As part of our themed curriculum this week, we have been learning about 'Kings and Queen's. We learnt all about the Royal Family, who the Queen is, what she wears and where she lives. We made our own crowns and explore the jewels & diamonds we received from the Tower of London.
