Reception - WB 12.6.23

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for attending Sports Day on Monday afternoon. It was a very hot one, but the children really enjoyed it and loved having you all there. All of Reception participated in every race so well - trying their very best, but also cheering on their friends. Great sportsmanship!!

Back in the classroom, we had mystery parcel and letter this week during Literacy, asking us to help some 'Chilly Peas' escape from the ice blocks. The children enjoyed using the tools to help the peas escaped, but we soon realised we shouldn't have let them escape, as Supertato let us know they were evil. Were now on the hunt for the Evil Peas!! The children are SO excited about our next class text SUPERTATO - we will be delivering into this a lot more next week.

During our afternoon themed curriculum learning, we have been extending our Summer knowledge and learning about what the seaside used to be like in the PAST. We looked at what people used to do, eat and wear and compared it to our days and holidays at the seaside today.
