Good Afternoon everyone,

Our last week of Autumn 1 - an 8 week half term, that has flown by.

We have finished our Literacy unit and the story 'The Gingerbread Man'. We predicted the ending of the story and what would happen to the Gingerbread Man himself. We used the Mighty Writer mat to create and re-tell a simple version of the story. The children chose actions and acted this out as a class. We then had a go at drawing the story and labelling it with the initial sounds that we know. Pencil grip and letter formation is developing beautifully! 

Our curriculum theme this week has been Halloween. Our classroom has been enhanced with lots of Halloween themed challenges for us to complete during learning time each day, that link to our current development skills - have a look on X/Twitter for lots of pictures. We have been learning spooky songs and using rhythm sticks to play along to the songs. We have also been completing lots of Halloween crafts, developing different crafting skills including printing, sticking and painting.

P.E kits have come home for a half term wash - please bring these back after the holidays.
