Reception - WB 25.4.22

Good Afternoon,

Reception have worked extremely hard on their class assembly this week! We've been practicing our singing & storytelling in class, before we finally got to perform for the rest of the school and our grown ups on Wednesday. They did a super job and we were all extremly proud of how confident the whole class were in from of so many people - superstars!

Back in the classroom as part of our normal routine, we've been working on addition in our maths sessions this week. We've looked at what the term 'addition' means and what the the symbols looks like. Children have practiced this new skill by using concrete objects to combine two groups together, to find a bigger number overall. Children have began to read different questions and even record their answers also.

Our outside area has been lovely this week!! There has been so much independent & creative learning going on, that the children have come back to each day & extended. It has really demonstrated how far all the children's play skills have come and how much we are working on our abilities to turn take and play with eachother with kindness.
