Good Afternoon,

During maths this week, we have been continuing to develop our place value skills, looking closely at the numbers 6 & 7. We used a wide range of different concrete resources to represent each of these numbers and we played games to spot these numbers out from others.

We have celebreated Chinese New Year in Reception this week. We explored ways in which this is celebrated and the different features & decorations people have in their home. We made lanterns, created our own chinese dragon & lion dances and tasted lots of different Chinese cuisine during snack, including prawn crackers & spring rolls. The children have throughouly enjoyed this celebration.
