What a wonderful Christmas week it has been in school!

The highlight of our week has most certainly been our Christmas performance! We have been practising so hard for the past few weeks, learning our lines and all of the songs and actions. The children loved trying on their costumes and were so excited to perform for grown-ups on Thursday. I was so proud of all the children!! There was SO much confidence radiating from the stage and it was lovely to see all the children shine - they all have really grown up so much since starting Reception in September :)

In the classroom, we have started our Christmas books. The children have been reading the Nativity Story and learning who Jesus is. We've linked this to the celebration of Christmas and learnt that Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. We've created our first two pages of our books, that including some writing and illustrations. We can't wait for you to see them!

We're excited for lots more Christmas fun next week, including Christmas parties, Christmas Panto and the Chocolate Nativity assembly.
