Reception - WB 7.2.22

Hello Everyone!

During learning time this week, we have been focusing on making excellent learning choices and thinking about how we can challenge ourselves to extend our learning a little more. Children have WOWed all the grown ups with their abilties to think creatively and work together with their peers as a team. We've had fantastic leanring outside in the water area & mud kitchen, as well as in the workshop & writing area inside.

Our maths leanring this week has been focused on making pairs. We've learnt what a pair is and have been investigating different pairs we can see in the environment. Using concrete resources, children have made their own pairs of items.

We have been learning about the Winter Olympics during our afternoon, themed curriculum learning. We've explored what the Olympics is, where is it being held this year and some of the events that take place, as part of the winter editon of the Olympics. We've watched lots of videos of events taking place, which the children were very excited about - the snowboarding and Skelton were very popular!!
