T1 WC 24th Feb

Date: 28th Feb 2025 @ 1:44pm

Welcome to the second half of the spring term.

This week, we have started a new book called 'The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth'. The blurb has told us that there's a mammoth on the loose and Oscar has to get him home before the clock strikes one. We have made some predictions about what we think could happen if Oscar isn't successful. Today, we have looked at the suffix -ed and why we would add this to the end of a verb. We agreed that it changes the verb to a past tense and then we practised applying it.

In Maths, we have worked with numbers up to 40. This has involved counting, reading and writing these numbers. These numbers can be quite tricky to spell so we will keep trying our best.

In RE, we have started thinking about Respect and what this word means to us. We know that we are all different. we look different, we like different things and we believe different things. We agreed that this was a good thing and that we should celebrate our differences.

In PE, our half term focus is gymnastics. We talked about what a champion gymnast was. This week, we focused on making shapes and doing balances using big body parts. Have a looked at X (formerly Twitter) for some photos.

A reminder that it is the coin mile day on Monday so please bring along any pennies for the T1 line.

Have a great weekend.
