Team 1 - Science Week!

Hi everyone,

This week has been science week in school and each day we have been taking part in different science workshops!

On Monday we started with a mad science assembly where we got to watch different science experiements. The man lighting his hand on fire was one of our favourites! We also began our new science experiment 'plants' where we went on a walk around school to identify lots of different plants and flowers. We didn't find many because of the season we are currently in! It was very cold out there!!

On Tuesday we had a visit from Professor Bunsen who showed us how to make slime, make trumpets out of a straw and much more science fun! We also continued with our plants topic, deconstructing, drawing and labelling different plants.

Thursday was World Book Day and everyone came to school dressed as their favourite book character! We focused our learning around the book 'The Lost Words', creating list poems based on Mr Magpie and painted him using watercolour paints!

What a busy week of learning we have had!
