Team 1 - The Lion Inside!

Good Evening,

This week in English we have started a brand new text called 'The Lion Inside'. We spent a lesson exploring the cover of the book, making predictions from the characters we could see and thinking about what the rest of the story could be about. We opened the first page of the book to find a 'craggy old rock' in a certain setting. We discussed and recorded lots of ideas about what we could see in the picture and used our ideas to create some sentences. During this unit we will be focusing on using 'and' in our sentences to join ideas together.

In maths we have been finishing our adding work by applying our addition skills to different questions and problems, using a number of different methods taught. We also had our first look at bar modelling this week using the wooden blocks!

During our afternoon learning, we have been continuing with our toys learning in Topic and have also used our five senses to complete an senses investigation in science.
