Team 1 - Toys, toys toys!!

This week we have had a very busy week of learning, especially with our current topic 'Toys!'.

On Tuesday we went on a trip to Techniquest in Wrexham. We explored the different zones, collaborating with our friends to solve different scientific problems and complete many activities. Some of our favourites were the mirror walk, the treasure chest and the shadows camera. We also took part in a toy workshop linked to our topic, where we had to sort different types of toys into categories. Have a look on our class page to see some of the photos!

On Friday we had our Toy Day. We all came to school dressed as different toys and completed a number of toy activities throughout the day. These included making robots, creating a toy timeline, writing a robot list poem and learning to recognise coins to pay for toys in the toy shop!

This week we have also continued to work on the story 'The Lion Inside' in English and we have started to look at taking away with numbers up to 10 in  maths.

Don't forget next Thursday 1st February is our Class Assembly. It would be great to see lots of faces there!
