Team 1 - WB 11.6.18

Good Afternoon,

This week has been Phonics Screening Week for Team 1. Everyone read a booklet of 40 alien and real words to Miss Steen to show what fantastic readers they are. Everyone read wonderfully and Miss Steen couldn't be more prouder!!

In between lots of our reading, we had a visit from the poet 'Ian Bland' on Monday. We listened to him perform lots of his poetry and completed a workshop with him where we created our own 'Animal Alliteration' poems. On return to class we wrote out our own poems and performed them to the class.

We have also been learning lots of computing skills including how to programme a beebot and type a sentence using a keyboard.
