Hi all,
It's been a busy week in school this week from Fairtrade to Science workshops to brand new sparkley windows; we've definitely been kept on our toes!
In English we have been learning about the features of instructions. We've learnt how to create hook questions, exclamative sentences and use time order words and bossy verbs in our sentences. All these features we have learnt we are going to use when innovating and writing our own set of instructions next week.
In maths we have been ordering and comparing numbers up to 20 and finding 1 more and 1 less. We've had a real focus on problem solving this week and developed our ability to read and break down a problem to find the answer.
We have also been learning about fairtrade, creating rain gauges and measuring rain falls in science and have started our new geography topic 'Exploring the World Around Us'.
Have a great weekend everyone,
Miss Steen amd Mr Oldfield
Mousemania next week is an ice cream party. Please bring decorations!
