Welcome Back! I hope you all had a lovely Easter break!
This week we were straight back into our learning with a trip to Manchester Airport, as part of our Geography topic 'Exploring the World Around Us'. During our visit to the Runway Vistor Park area of the Airport, we got to visit Concorde, see the planes take of and land and we also got to go onboard an aircraft! Onboard we learnt about the different jobs at the airport and got to sit in the pilot's seat in the flight deck. We had such a lovely (rainy!) day and came back to school inspired and full of curiosity!
The next day in English we wrote a recount about our trip and read these out with confidence to the rest of the class.
In maths this week we have been learning to name and describe different 3D shapes and recognise what 2D shapes may also be in these. In number we have been finding number bonds to 20 using the Base 10 grids.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend and I'll see you all tomorrow!
