Team 1 - WB 2.10.17

Good Afternoon everyone,

In English this week we have been busy with our unit on 'The Three Little Pigs'. We looked at using punctuation in our sentences, including capital letters and full stops. We also started to look at what a suffix is and how to add the suffix -ed to a root word. During the later part of the week we began to innovate our story maps and change the pigs and wolf into different characters; lots of creative thinking going on!!

In maths we have been practicing our counting forwards and backwards skills to 10. We have been using concrete objects and pictorial objects to support our understanding and completing missing boxes and spot the mistake activites. Children are counting experts this week!!

During our afternoon learning we have been focusing on handwriting, art work with Mrs Anderson linked to our Three Little Pigs work and we have continued invasion games in P.E. We have also been following a programme called Happy Mind which teaches children all about the brain and how it works. Ask your child about Team 'H-A-P'.
