Team 1 - WB 25.6.18

Hi everyone,

It's been a very warm week in school and all the children have coped really well! Lots of sweaty faces and cold water consumed!

In English this week we have been writing our very own stories using an object from the story bag as a stimulus. Children don't very often just get to write about anything so it was lovely to read such creative stories. We have also been using and applying words with the prefix un- in our sentences.

In maths we have been finishing our learning on multiplying and began work on measuring length and height. We discussed the difference between the two and used a ruler to measure the height and lengths of different objects.

Today was also our whole school poetry recital. After the auditions earlier in the week, some children went through to the final. Everyone did so well and confidently recited their poems to a big audience. Well done to AO who won the KS1 competition too!
