Team 1 - WB 30.4.18

Hi everyone,

In English this week we have started a brand new story called 'The Curious Case of a Wooly Mammoth'. We have read the first few pages, discussing the language and making predictions. Our creative ideas have been flowing this week and we have applied this to short bursts of sentence writing.

In maths we have been focusing on subtracting numbers from up to 20, not crossing 10. We have used 10 grids and counters as our concrete representations, before moving on to pictures and number lines to answer different subtraction questions. Some children have been problem solving and giving reasons for answers to questions too!

During our afternoon learning we have been making aeroplanes in D.T with Mrs Anderson and have started our Africa project during Topic.
