Hi everyone,
Hope you all enjoyed the long, sunny Bank Holiday weekend!
We've jumped back into our learning and continued reading the story 'The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth' in English this week. We've crept through the next few pages of the story, discussing the characters we have met and their presence in the story. We focused on Teddy the baby Mammoth in particular and what he was doing in several images. We used noun phrases and ed words to describe the events and write sentences and a short recount.
In maths we have been subtracting numbers up to 20, but this week we've been crossing 10. We've focused a lot of number lines, as we found these easier visualise jumping back to the 10 first.
During our afternoon learning we have started Block 4, so began Atheltics in P.E this week with Premier Sports and we also completed lots of work on our Africa Project books in Topic.
Don't forget to play the games and practice the sounds which I sent home in the phonics booklet a few weeks ago.
Have a great weekend,
Miss Steen
