What a week Team 1! A week of phonics, poetry and fun!

This week the children have been true superstars in Team 1. Firstly, I want to say a HUGE well done to everyone in Team 1 who completed the phonics screen. Everyone tried their very best and that is all that we can ask.

In English this week, we have been working on our spellings and thinking about how we can spell words with the same sounds but alternate spellings.

In maths this week, we have been learning about the value of notes in money and we have started to explore weight.

This week, was also our poetry finals and we need to say a very big well done to one of our team who performed beautifully and was the eventual winner for Key Stage 1 – Well done CH – a truly fabulous performance.

We finished the week with a fabulous Pyjama party for Mouse Mania!
