Happy half term!

This week in maths, we have been continuing to explore addition and subtraction to 20 by making 10 first, and by using a number line.

In English, we re-wrote the story of The Lion Inside, replacing the mouse with another small animal of our choice. We used the suffixes we have been learning, and some great new vocabulary to add interest.

In geography, we used the book ‘Coming to England’ by Floella Benjamin to begin comparing and contrasting the islands of Trinidad and Tobago with the British Isles. The story tells of Floella’s 15-day journey by boat to England from her home island.

We enjoyed a circle time learning about the importance of listening, by playing a game using our listening and attention skills.

It was lovely celebrating our learning this week by putting on our pyjamas for mouse mania.
