Team 1 WB 13.3.23
Date: 17th Mar 2023 @ 3:27pm
We have had a wonderful time this week, despite it being shorter than normal. In maths, we have been subtracting by making ten, and deciding which ‘part’ of a number to subtract from. We also learnt about commutativity when adding numbers.
In English, we have learnt all about verbs and nouns. We have used some lovely descriptive writing this week to describe an underwater scene in our class text.
We have had a focus on science for British Science Week, and have been looking to answer the question ‘What would happen if there was no life in the oceans, rivers or lakes?’ We began by exploring the different animal life underwater. Then, we looked at the plant life underwater, and why sea grass is so important for the planet. We were sad to learn that an area of sea grass the size of a football pitch is lost from the sea every half hour!
Have a lovely weekend, Team 1!
Mrs Weeks, Mr Flaherty and Miss Thomas.
