Team 1 WB 17/3/25

We’ve had a busy week this week in team one!
In Maths, we’ve continued looking at numbers up to 40 and using them to make number patterns. We even had a go at creating our own sequences as well as learning some new vocabulary such as ascending and descending.
In History, we looked at who built Chester Zoo and explored his reasonings for creating a safe place for animals to live. We all said that we loved the zoo!
In science, we took part in an interesting lesson which explored the effectiveness of certain materials, using the story of 'The Three Little Pigs' to help us. We had bricks and straws and used them to test out if we could move the Malteser using these. We had lots of fun looking at which material was the most durable.
On Wednesday, we spent the afternoon looking at Pablo Picasso and practised our painting skills!
In PE, we did gymnastics and used the apparatus to create curled, narrowed and wide movements, displaying some highly creative poses! We worked on balance and control and did amazingly! We definitely have some budding gymnasts in Team 1.
Take a look at X for some photos of our week, including our lesson on healthy eating.
Have a good weekend, and look forward to seeing you for another fun filled week, Team 1! We can’t wait to see the childrens' auditions for Horn's Mill's Got Talent next Thursday.
