Team 1 - W/B - 18.11.24

Date: 24th Nov 2024 @ 3:36pm

It's been another busy one in Team 1 this week and it is beginning to look a bit Christmassy!

In English, we have been continuing to explore London whilst developing our use of capital letters and full stops. This week we have been focusing on the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. The children have been working very hard to make sure that their handwriting and presentation is their very best.

For maths, we have been looking at numbers to 20. We have been counting forwards and backwards and learning to write numbers using numerals and words.

In RE this week, we have been learning all about why Christmas is important to Christians and why they celebrate it. The children have listened to the Bible story about the birth of Jesus and also watched some short animated videos. They have then created their own nativity scene in their RE books. A reminder to email if you would like to host Mary and Jesus for the night as part of the Posada.

We have also started creating our Christmas books and have been practising our Nativity songs in music.

We have lots of exciting things coming up - we cannot wait to share them all with you.

Finally, thank you to everyone who was able to join us on Wednesday for our open afternoon - the children (and staff) were very proud to show you all the progress that the children are making.

Have a fabulous weekend.
